8/28/2023 0 Comments Rotten tomatoes point break 2015![]() ![]() Maybe this is why Depp will be returning to the high seas in 2017's next "Pirates of the Caribbean" film. Reviews called it an embarrassing spoof of a film that was anything but funny. Juggling some angry Russians, the British Mi5, his impossibly leggy wife and an international terrorist, debonair art dealer and part time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Depp) must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold. It was never really clear from marketing and teasers what "Mortdecai" was about other than a blonde-haired whimsical Depp with a twitchy mustache. As the story unravels, you experience pain, anguish, and suspense as a desperate man holds onto his sanity in an insane situation. Johnny Depp may have dazzled audiences in "Black Mass," but before that his last few performances have fallen flat. I don't know what it means, but it doesn't convince me mustaches make anyone in this film dangerous. It often indicates a user profile.įor some reason, part of the marketing for the film gave each of the movie's characters Mortdecai mustaches. The story is moronic and that is an insult to morons the world over. In fact it is incredible how terrible the movie is at that. The actors are terrible, the music sucks, it doesn't have great shots and no it doesn't have any amazing cinematography. So there is a misclassification problem.Account icon An icon in the shape of a person's head and shoulders. It is hated because it is shitty in every way a movie can be. ![]() Point Break: Trailer 2 2:25 Added: September 17, 2015. Rotten Tomatoes score: 96 Genre: Historical drama Stream it on Peacock. The film was rated pretty decently in some countries where people didn't know about the original too.īut I do get why people hate it. I have never watched the original though. It is not hard to understand they are trying to challenge the human-centric view with a more naturalistic one. I think you are right, I just watched the film and actually liked it. Not to mention the main character kills the main girl who in the original lives, and she didn’t need to even be in the new o ![]() Se it’s sooo impossible… so the bad guys do all the tasks annndd rob like Robin Hood at the same time? So it wasn’t that hard? And the protagonist finds out what they are doing from watching ten seconds of them taking cash out of a plane and how they jumped out of it. It’s just piggybacks off the original title and characters names. 'Break Point' (2014) Rotten Tomatoes Score: 71 Break Point follows a cocky man-child Jimmy Price ( Jeremy Sisto) who is aware that his career as a doubles tennis player is almost over. I could go on and on, but mainly it’s completely different than the original and everything new is lazy. ![]() Not to mention the main character kills the main girl who in the original lives, and she didn’t need to even be in the new one at all because she didn’t affect anything. Like the whole scene where his FBI boss is questioning him on whether or not he wants the job enough, one of his responses was “enough to go to school 5 years after my friends graduated” and I’m like wtf does that have to do with anything? Also the whole “underground poly-athlete osoka blah blah challenge” thing was dumb cuz supposedly the guy was famous for creating the list but never finished it himself because it’s sooo impossible… so the bad guys do all the tasks annndd rob like Robin Hood at the same time? So it wasn’t that hard? And the protagonist finds out what they are doing from watching ten seconds of them taking cash out of a plane and how they jumped out of it. Rotten Tomatoes compiled a list of the 75 best-reviewed heist movies of all time. I hate it because of the lazy writing and the main character is a terrible actor imo. ![]()
